Postgres aligns with WEST 2015 event theme of increasing technology performance on a lower budget

EnterpriseDB (EDB), the leading worldwide provider of enterprise-class Postgres products and database compatibility solutions, today announced the company is bringing Postgres to a broader set of government agencies across the U.S. military during WEST 2015.

The 25th annual Western Conference and Exposition, which runs Feb. 10-12 in San Diego, is sponsored by AFCEA International. Each year, the event brings together members of the Sea Services—U.S. Coast Guard, Marine Corps, and U.S. Navy—with technology product and services providers. Thousands of military technology specialists exchange ideas, share best practices and explore new solutions that support, directly or indirectly, the warfighter.

“U.S. government agencies have embraced Postgres to cut costs and meet open source software mandates,” said Marc Linster, Senior Vice President of Products and Services, EnterpriseDB. “We work with more than 50 agencies, including many in the Department of Defense, that have turned to Postgres to cut costs without sacrificing performance.”

U.S. government agencies that depend on Postgres include the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Department of Labor as well as several large government defense contractors.

EnterpriseDB will be exhibiting at WEST 2015 at Booth 818. For more information, please visit the EDB website.
